Pulse Diagnosis
Pulse diagnosis provides valuable insight into the state of your meridians and the way Qi—your vital energy—is flowing through your body. It helps identify imbalances or blockages and is also a powerful tool to monitor how your body responds and changes throughout the course of treatment.
Gua Sha
Also known as “scraping therapy,” Gua Sha is an ancient Chinese healing technique often used to complement acupuncture treatments. Using a smooth-edged tool, gentle strokes are applied to the skin to help release tension, improve circulation, and support the movement of Qi. Many people find it deeply relaxing and revitalizing. Have you tried it before? How did it feel for you?
Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a traditional therapy that uses heat to stimulate specific points on the body. It comes from the use of the wormwood plant, known as A Mogusa in Japanese. In modern practice, the plant is dried, crushed, and wrapped in special paper to form a small, smoldering stick or cone. When lit, it’s held just above the skin or placed on a protective medium at an acupuncture point to gently warm and nourish the area. Don’t worry—the flame is removed well before it gets too hot, so the treatment is both safe and soothing.
Cupping
Cupping therapy involves placing specially designed cups on the skin to create suction. These cups may be made of glass, bamboo, silicone, or earthenware. The suction can be created through heat or mechanical methods, depending on the technique used. This ancient practice is known to support blood circulation, relieve muscle tension, reduce inflammation, and promote overall relaxation—often likened to a deep-tissue massage. Many people find it helpful as part of their wellness and recovery routine.
Aromatherapy and Acupuncture
Aromas can be used alongside acupuncture to enhance healing and balance. Rooted in the universal principle that everything in nature vibrates, essential oils can help bring the body's energy into harmony by using plant-based elements with similar vibrational frequencies. They may be applied directly to acupuncture points, inhaled from a tissue or cotton ball, or gently diffused in the treatment room. These natural therapies are also safe and easy to use at home or work, helping to extend the calming and restorative effects of treatment into daily life.
Frequency of treatments
Relief Care
Frequent visits—often multiple times per week—are recommended during the initial phase to alleviate symptoms, reduce discomfort, and jumpstart the healing process.
Corrective Care
As your body begins to rebalance and you start feeling better, visits become less frequent. This phase supports deeper healing and long-term recovery.
Maintenance Care
Once your health is stable, monthly tune-ups help maintain balance, prevent relapse, and support ongoing vitality in body and mind.
